That's actually another of BioWare's faults. Originally, Miranda was going to be blonde when she first came into the story for ME2. She was going to be portrayed characterwise to look like the actress who does her voice so that actress would be "playing" her in more of the fashion you see in films/television (both look and voice) like they did with Jessica Chobot in ME3.
It's kind of a shame they changed her to have dark hair for whatever reason because it would've been more of a nice contrast of characters to have one be brunette (Ashley) and one be blonde (Miranda).
</that>

Re: New School vs. Old School – The Batmobile Race

Would love to see more Marisha! I obviously began to watch the video simply because of the Batmobiles...but wow, that changed real quick!

Re: Miranda or Ashley for Mass Effect 3?

Fanfics come to the rescue here. Romances in ME are simply to short to allow for the warm side of a character of Miranda to be properly exposed, without making her into a soft muffin, like all other LI for the most part.

I know that especially ME3 romance with Miranda is pale compared to the others, but again. There are skilled writers that can fill the gaps, and if you like Miranda, but don't like how she is handled, unexplored in the game.

After reading a few fanfics i really began to like every character. I didn't hate any, but i was indifferent to some, like Jacob, or Zaeed, but in a well written fic, even if its just a couple of lines of dialogue. A well written Jacob can be a fantastic character to watch (yes, the boy scout, i don't want to talk about it, the prizzzz Jacob).

Every character has huge potential, but they are not fleshed out as good as they could be. A couple of interactions through the whole game is not that much. They have little opportunity to shine.

And in my case Miranda became the most interesting character. After my first ME2 playthrough i thought she was just tits and ass, the ridiculous ass shots did plenty to reinforce that belief, but i really came to like her as a character after the second one. The fanfics made me obsessed. It was both very hard and very fun to read her as a total bitch, but i like her most relatively soft (as for her at least).

Re: Miranda or Ashley for Mass Effect 3?

I'm for Miranda. It all depends how you interpret the character. There is a lot of room for imagination.

Some interpretation of here make me hate her (kind of), but nevertheless are very interesting to explore. She basically is ruthless, but has some hard principles. She could pretend and be manipulating Shepard to get him to do what Cerberus wants. She could shoot anybody without a moments thought because the Illusive Man told her it was for the greater good.

But at least what Mass Effect (2 and 3) romance suggests is that she is genuine.

This is my interpretation of her, largely in concert with canon.
She can be cold and reserved to here loved ones (few and far between), not a fan of PDA, but pushed a little can be very warm, and she can go through hell for people she cares about as she did with Oriana. And Oriana is proof how much of Miranda's demeanor is caused by her upbringing, experience.

I really like melting of the Ice Queen. I don't like when it goes overboard. Miranda should Miranda. She will be afraid of entanglement, reluctant to say how she feels, and often afraid of acting as she feels in the middle of a relationship, sometimes trying to passover what she does as meaningless, emotionless.

I like the best the scenario when she is deep in love in Shepard, learns to show affection in private, sometimes after a little resistance. Still very resistant when it comes to showing, and sharing any her burdens, making the moment when she does all that much significant.
But from time to time slipping into her old self, and back again after a little battle.

Re: Damaged – Is The Fantasy Finally Over?

I am surprised that you were admitted kupo! FF is an offlinegame that used to entertain you. Like a good Movie. The points you are reffering to is just the problem with newer parts. But i hope i have not distracted you from your Feel-like-a-man-while-im-online-project. When the demo of VIII came out in the Pizza Hut pack I was hook, line and sinker. I like IX even though most people I know do not like it. X showed how the games to come had more potential to get better. X-2 was not as good as X. Something I figure was more of a girls RPG. I still got into it. XI is what I call (out of the numbered series) the start of FFF or Final Fantasy Failure. Square show us that they do not care about the games they make long as they are getting money. The last thing we as FF fans need is FFMMORPG. WTF are you guys thinking? And it is not free to play. This gave them a smaller budget for XII, witch I will not go into descriptive detail, because I will need my own blog, but XII could of came out a lot better and I like the crappy game. Before XIII, XIV is when they finalized it by saying F*ck the fans all we want is money now. NO MORE MMOPRG's Square! NO!!! Bad Enix! XIII is when they just said F*ck it let's just throw anything together and make it look good. XIII's graphics A++, game play C, story D-, and open world F- -. Then they want to make a XIII-2. Kill me now... Please. I have faith in Verse XIII. I find that Type 0 is something they should look into for the future of the Final Fantasy Hp bar. The fans are now taking of 9's to how bad the games are coming out. Do they even care about us anymore? Finally I will say Type 0 showed me that they still have it, but they are putting it in the wrong place.

Re: The New Thundercats Rocks!‏

This show is great. I enjoyed a lot of elements of 12. I liked the espers and reading their stories, the environments, the music and really liked the quickenings and concurrences. However, the storyline was INCREDIBLY dull, I found myself skipping the cutscenes explaining the situation with the empires. I didn't like Vaan at all, he was very boring and typical but I liked everyone else especially Balthier and Fran. I gave up after 12. When 13 released, it had the theme by Leona Lewis and I was yelling "What?!" at the TV. It looked futuristic, loads of sparkling graphics all over the place but it was missing something for me. There was no heart behind all the spiffy graphics. My favourite is X personally, I adored the story it even made me and my brother cry.

Re: Mass Effect – Ashley Williams

Ya Ash was my first choice in ME1 and her return in ME3 really made me rethink her. We need to petition this company and get Sakaguchi, and the developers of Xenogears and Chrono Trigger back. I haven't been happy with Final Fantasy series since FFIX ( a good on that always gets overlooked) I know what kingnate has stated is true because there is a quote from Yoshinori Kitase and he had the following to say in regards to a FFVII remake:"Graphically they [Final Fantasy games]
weren’t as advanced as they are now, but there were lots of towns and
worlds and cities and whatever. So if we were to recreate the same kind
of game – sequel or not – with the same volume, but give it a much
higher level of graphical quality, it would us take three times, four
times, even ten times longer to make such a game. So making a sequel for
an old game would be a lot more challenging."
We know this is bullcrap it wouldn't take nearly anywhere as long because FF7 already has a storyline established, they already know and have an idea what the towns look like I would understand if they had to come up with all this from scratch but they don't have to!
It's as much bullcrap as the greedy quote from Square Enix Senior Vice President Shinji Hashimoto states the reason there hasn't been a Chrono sequel because it being adored by fans isn't reflected in sales and we should buy more.Well maybe if they didn't waste their time making the crappy games they have been putting out lately like FFXIII maybe they wouldn't have to care too much about low sales? If they made better games that could live up to the ones we are requesting sequels for I don't think Square-Enix would have that much stress over sales. We need to find a way to get the original designers before the Square-Enix merge back or find a way to break up the merger and make them realize it was a mistake to merge.

Re: Miranda or Ashley for Mass Effect 3?

There is no evidence that she ACTUALLY has one night stand's with those people mentioned in the Shadow Broker DLC. You could interpret it as that way with the last one because she sends the apartment she is in, but none of the other encounters since she disconnects with them. At the same time, Miranda's personality doesn't exactly allow somebody to get close to her, she could be genuinely looking for a special somebody via online dating. As for the lingerie, she lives on the Normandy...and she was around when it was being built, why wouldn't she take her lacking wardrobe with her? Just cause she is subscribed to some lingerie thing (also in the Shadow Broker DLC), doesn't mean you can assume that she is easy or that sex is meaningless. You mention that Miranda and Ashley are both soldiers (or a Marine), if you use your con on Miranda that since she is one, that sex doesn't mean much than you would have to use it on Ashley as well. In ME3 Miranda takes losing you the hardest out of all of the characters, and if you pursue a relationship with her, you are able to discern that she does genuinely love Shepard. Ashley however, is like a high school girl, and she gets upset and jealous VERY quickly. Such as your first visit with her in ME3, when she talks about Miranda, and her temper and attitude towards you beforehand. In ME2 she goes crazy over the fact that you work with Cerberus, so much so that she cannot think clearly. She does however, send a well written apology, almost believing that the letter will make up for everything she said on Horizon. If Ashley cared about Shepard so much...shouldn't she have assisted Liara at some point? But that would be entirely speculation.

Bottom line: Its how you interpret the language and body language of each character, and the context of the information presented.

Re: Capcom Please Fix My Street Fighter X Tekken!

Well apparently this has to do with stabilty of 4-players.
